About After Hours

After Hours vineyard is a beautiful property situated on the Carbunup River flat which is renowned for it’s fertile alluvial soils. These soils, along with the mild Mediterranean climate provide us with the favoured micro-climate which contributes to the wonderful quality of our wines.

The vineyard is predominantly dry grown, shoot and bunch thinned. This reduces crop yield, increasing the intensity in flavour and quality for which After Hours Wine is renowned. We believe in and follow organic practices in the vineyard to encourages soil microorganisms and beneficial insects in the vines.

The After Hours harvest is around 30 tonnes of fruit each year, from which approximately 2500 cases of premium wine are produced.

The vineyard consists of Cabernet Sauvignon (2.6 ha), Shiraz (1.6 ha), Merlot, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay (1.1 ha each).

After Hours Wine, Margaret River, WA

After Hours Wine is a family owned business located in the pristine Margaret River Wine Region. We believe in a “hands on” approach from the vineyard to the bottle.
After Hours Wine got its name due to the fact in the early days, Warwick worked, and still works full time in Perth as a school teacher and the Winemaker Phil Potter was working for Leeuwin Estate. Therefore all work at the winery and in the vineyard only happened “After Hours”.
The boutique size of the After Hours winery limits the number of wine shows we are eligible to enter. We are however extremely proud of the accomplishment and standard we have achieved and strive for.
All of the After Hours wines are produced, processed and bottled onsite. This allows us to carefully select only the best parcels of fruit to produce premium award winning wines.
After Hours wines fall into 2 ranges. The entry level range is under the 9 to 5 label. This range of wines are designed to be easy drinking, sophisticated but fun.
The After Hours label host our premium range of wines. This range consist of Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc Semillon, Cabernet/Merlot, Shiraz and our flagships Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay.
After Hours wines are estate grown, vintaged and bottled. This hands on approach allows us to carefully select and process small parcels of fruit to produce outstanding wines..
