Andrew Peace Wines is a family owned and operated business comprising a modern winery and a 600 acre wine grape vineyard. The winery’s location is near Swan Hill in North West Victoria on the banks of the Murray River. It is a choice grape-growing region and fruit from the area is sought after by many of Australia’s best-known winemakers.
Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon make up the biggest plantings but the estate also includes Chardonnay, Colombard, Crouchen, Gordo, Grenache, Malbec, Mataro, Merlot, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Ruby Cabernet, Sangiovese, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Tempranillo and Viognier.
The Sagrantino block is the largest of only a few in Australia and features the flagship Australian Felix label. The winery is utterly contemporary, driven with sound business acumen and utilising first class technology. Today the winery crushes around 40,000 tonnes of grapes and is one of Australia’s largest exporters of wine. Despite the scale of the business today, the winery remains very much a family affair, headed by Andrew and Cathryn Peace. In fact, the Peace family believes its success lies within its family ties.
Andrew Peace Wines offer a wide range of brands and varietals, all terrific value for money. Fruit grown in vineyards along the Murray River is oft maligned but Andrew and his team ensure vine vigour is kept in check and yields are as close to those of a premium region can be in the commercial environment. Minimal chemical use is advocated.
