Arneis – the Piedmont Regions white variety was originally produced in the north-west of Italy. It was grafted onto existing Chardonnay and has now produced nine vintages. The wines are generally green-tinted . lemon in the glass with green apple and basil scents. Crisp, zesty lime juice flavor showing on front palate with almonds, sherbet characters in middle palate with acid features at the finish.
Catherine Vale is located in the Hunter Valley near the town of Broke. The property is spectacularly located in the lee of the Hunter Range and borders Yengo National Park which forms the backdrop of the Cellar door. One hundred and eighty degree views including “Yellow Rock” impress most visitors to Catherine Vale.
