From the entire Chateau Tanunda range this is the pick and the best value by far. It’s classic Barossa from Ebenezer and a huge crowd pleaser that will put a smile on plenty of faces thanks to a combination of raw power and flavour complexity.

Bright deep ruby, it boasts explosive aromas of fleshy blackberry, mulberry, and earthy tones wrapped up in a soft blanket of sweet oak. It then maintains that impact on the palate with dense chocolate and a dusting of cocoa and spice over waves of dark berry fruits before oak again returns to support and sustain an impressively long finish. It’s a wine to stock up on to enjoy its evolution over the next decade.

Combining richness and elegance, the wine shows dark berry, cocoa, clove and cedar characters on the nose. It’s fleshy and delectable in the mouth with waves of ripe fruit and spicy flavours together with velvety texture and chalky tannins, making it firmly structured and delicious at the same time. Impressively long and complex. At its best: 2024 to 2039.
