A fragrant nose of red currant and cherry, with hints of toasty oak. An array of red fruits greet the front palate with raspberry, cranberry and sour cherry characters giving way to a spicy smokey mid palate before the red fruits reappear on the back palate mingled with soft tannins. A layered wine that builds to a satisfying finish.

Pinot Noir pairs extremely well with duck (especially Peking Duck) and also works with chicken, turkey, pigeon and quail. It’s other great match is with Pork. It goes very well with earthy vegetables like mushrooms. For cheese look to Brie, Camembert, Gruyere or goats cheese.

Under the Covers Wine

Under the Covers Wine represents high quality and crafted wines and beers from boutique wineries and small producers. We go off the beaten track and dig deep to source the best Australian artisan boutique wine producers. Then we present these wines to the drinking public.

Because drinking good wine is one of life’s pleasures. And supporting local business means a sustainable future for all. True wine lovers know the best wine is often uncovered in the most unexpected of ways. We’ve gone Undercover to source some of Australia and the world’s most highly rated and sought after wines, dressing them in something a little different to give you the Royal Family of Wines for the price of a Court Jester.
