Domaine de L’Espigouette Vacqueyras is dark red in colour, with deep purple reflections. Good clarity and good shine.
The nose is quite open, with scents of laurel, rosemary and fresh thyme. Then an explosion of black fruits with aeration (blackberry, candied cherry). Nice balance between power and delicacy. A slight woodiness that perfects the complexity. The mouth is powerful. Sweetness from the outset gives a lot of fullness and voluptuousness. It has a nice, well coated tannic structure that provide balance between power and freshness.
To be enjoyed in 3 to 5 years with a slow cooked leg of lamb & crunchy vegetables. Spices won’t scare him!

About Domaine de L’Espigouette
Based in Sablet, Domaine de l’Espigouette has been in the hands of the Latour family for four generations. Now run by Bernard Latour and sons, their wines offer powerful expressions of the differing terroirs of their vineyards. Latour’s grandfather was one of the first to plant Syrah in Vacqueyras in the 1960s and this wine remains the signature of their estate.
L’Atelier by Aramis Vineyards was founded in 2012, dedicated to supplying a hand-selected range of quality wines to the independent on and off trade. From small beginnings we now operate across NSW, QLD, VIC and WA as well as in our home state of South Australia. Our distribution company was founded on our absolute belief that there was nobody better to represent our McLaren Vale brand than our own team. From that point our mission was clear - to bring together a collection of wine that would complement and match the quality of our own, and to present these to premium retail and hospitality trade across Australia. We believe in working collaboratively with carefully selected producers from Australia and beyond, each sharing the same passion and commitment to quality. Inspired by the Ateliers of 19th century Paris, we see ourselves as a meeting place for highly talented craftspeople at the top of their trade.
