A slightly richer style with more intensity of flavour than the Parterre Chardonnay it has aromas of just ripe pineapple, white peach, tropical lime, almond milk and biscuity toasty oak. It has bright grapefruit acidity with flavours of tropical lime and creamy cinnamon scented almond milk; it has bright acidity while the oak and lees contact give the wine a lovely rich cashew richness.
Reviews and Awards

“Tight, zesty, cinnamon oak spice and almond pastry, pear and lime, plus a little struck match. It’s lean, but powerful, bursts with mixed citrus and pear skin flavour, bright with firm flinty grip, and a superb long finish, all lime zest and spicy honey biscuits. Regal and refined. Margaret River Chardonnay in full flight.” Gary Walsh, The Wine Front, 96 points

“Light, bright colour and an intense spicy aroma, which owes a lot to high-class oak barrels. Lemon and grapefuit, too. The wine is fresh and zippy on the palate, tight and concentrated, with bright lemony acidity and a mouthwatering aftertaste. There’s a slight impression of sweetness thanks to concentrated fruit at its heart, followed by zesty acidity. A refreshing, invigorating wine.” Huon Hooke, The Real Review 95 points

“This steps right up the scale in terms of intensity and power with ripe lemon and pineapple fruit aromas and flavors, as well as peach and wet stone. The palate holds tight for now, and this has many layers to unfurl over the next six years.” James Suckling, jamessuckling.com, 95 points

Description

Established in 1999, Fraser Gallop Estate comprises 50 acres under vine on an elevated aspect six kilometres from the south west coast of Western Australia at the heart of the Wilyabrup sub-region of Margaret River.

The region’s pristine isolation beside the Indian Ocean; the maritime climate; and our vineyard’s undulating topography provide the ideal conditions in which to grow Bordeaux and Burgundy grape varieties.

The wines of Fraser Gallop Estate are intensely flavoured, textured and complex. Our focus is on Cabernet, Chardonnay and Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc blends. Only the finest quality French oak barrels are used for all Fraser Gallop Estate wines, with very specific Bordelais coopers used for the Cabernet Sauvignon and Semillon Sauvignon Blanc blends, and Burgundian coopers for the Chardonnay. The complete winemaking process takes place at the estate – picking to vinification to barrel maturation to bottling to cellaring. Fraser Gallop Estate is an estate grown, produced and bottled wine.
