Our first Orange made from 100% Organic & Biodynamic hand-picked Gewürztraminer. This wine began with a love of the fields, maturing to the delightfully expressive ‘cosmic’ of Krinklewood Estate. It tastes of this very earth – the climate, the water, the sunshine, the soil.

This 2021 Orange wine displays beautiful aromas of rose petals and lychee with a more complex profile of cinnamon and all spices. The palate is rich of notes of grapefruit, tangerine and ginger with a complex tannic structure given from both the long skin contact period and the wooden vessel the wine fermented into.

This wine was made with 100 % Biodynamic Gewurztraminer from the Krinklewood site.

“Gewurz fermented on skins. New deals from Krinklewood. An elevation for the vineyard and winemaking styles with new ownership. New era. It’s cool. A bit of spritz here but feels real nice. Candied mixed peel, green herbs, powdery tannin and a blast of grapefruity acidity. Lively, chewy, fresh and youthful. High drinkability and good sense of interest. Skinsy chew very pleasingly. Good gear on a lighter shade of orange”.

We offer guests and members an organic Hunter Valley wine experience with a difference. Our French-inspired boutique Hunter winery and cellar door is set amongst Provencal gardens, urns, and fountains with the Wollombi Brook and Brokenback Range providing a spectacular backdrop.

Not only are our wines certified biodynamic, but every aspect of our Hunter Valley vineyard and farm is also managed in a biodynamic, organic, holistic, and sustainable way which is evident in the individuality and superior quality of the wines.
