About `Louis Bouillot`
Founded in 1877 by Jean Bouillot the estate of Louis Bouillot is a specialist Crémant de Bourgogne producer now run by Jean-Claude Boisset and it produces a range of excellent Méthode Traditionnelle sparkling wines from sites across the Côte d’Or.
The Crémant de Bourgogne appellation was officially created in 1975 and the domaine, based in Nuits-St-Georges, produces great value sparkling wines that provide a great alternative to Champagne, from the vivid pinot Noir fruit of the Perle Bourgogne Mousseux Rouge to their lively and complex Perle de Vigne Grand Reserve.

Burgundy is an Appellation d’origine contrôlée (AOC, or controlled designation of origin) wine region set across the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Bourgogne-Franche-Comté administrative regions, running roughly 200 km north of Lyon, in the central-east of France.
