Shiraz from the Orange is quite unique in style compared to most other regions in Australia and is more reminiscent of the Northern Rhone, France. Our Idiot has a voluptuous dark berry character with more blue fruits, and a fine savoury tannin. The colour is iridescent, with an amazing purple hue- the Idiot Shiraz really shines.

Winemakers Tasting Notes
The Idiot is dark garnet with a purple hue. This cool climate Shiraz is true to its region and variety. It has a fragrant bouquet with juicy red fruits and blueberry.
The palate is succulent yet elegant. It has bountiful fruit and spice finishing with fine savoury tannins.
Orange, NSW
A cool climate region can be defined as an area with heat degree days of 1600 or less. Cool nights in the growing season, large diurnal variation, long cool autumns and distinct seasons are also key factors in defining a cool climate region.
Orange is one of a handful of regions in Australia that fall into this category. Orange is unique among these regions due to the cool climate being the result of continental conditions rather than latitude.
