This is the Best Sparkling in NSW! Winner of the Best Sparkling Trophy at the NSW Wine Awards 2019 and Best Sparkling Trophy at the Orange Wine Show 2019.

We’ve had the Best Sparkling in NSW two years running with the Swift Sparkling Cuvée awarded the Best Sparkling Trophy at the NSW Wine Awards in 2018. Swift hails from the elevated slopes of Orange, NSW. The cool climate and elevated vineyard sites are perfect for the production of traditional method sparkling wines.

Hand picked fruit is gently handled and blended to create a range of premium sparkling wines now regarded as some of the best in Australia. Extended lees aging is a feature of the wines, rewarding with complexity yet retaining freshness and vibrancy. Chardonnay dominates this Rosé, as it does with all the current release Swift wines. Pinot noir adds richness to the palate while importantly offering a light pink rosé blush.

It is a dry, savoury wine with a fine line of acid running from start to finish supported by soft strawberry fruit richness. Texture and weight is enhanced by 5 years of lees aging.

About Printhie Wines

Printhie Wines, owned by the Swift family is part of the Ultimate Winery Experiences Australia Group and is renowned for its cool climate craftsmanship. Located in the high elevation, cool climate Orange region of NSW, it truly is ‘Wine with altitude’.

Printhie Wines was established in 1996 when we planted the first vineyard on the Swift family’s property ‘Printhie’. The winery was added in 2004 so we could handcraft our award winning wine.

It was the inspiration of Jim and Ruth in 1996 to enter the wine industry with the planting of 12Ha of grapevines on the family property ‘Printhie’, located near Molong in the Orange region of NSW. The most suitable site was selected from the 500Ha property and managed by Jim and Ruth until the return of their two sons, Ed and Dave in the early-2000s.

At this time the vineyard area was expanded to 33Ha and a winery was built for the 2004 vintage changing the dynamic of the business from grape growing to wine production. Ed and Dave now manage the day-to-day business operations.
