TO BE Pinot Gris OR NOT TO BE Pinot Grigio THAT IS THE QUESTION. Johnny Q (the devout thinker) finally relinquishes to Pinot Gris for he cannot overlook this noble charm. Round and soft and complex in the mind, perchance to dream of creamy white floral notes and with conscience succumb to a palate that is clean and crisp. Whatever your dialogue this Pinot Gris will capture your heart and thoughts and will be perfect for any occasion.

The Pinot Gris fruit was harvested and crushed directly to the press, where only the free run juice was selected. After a period of cold settling the juice was racked, warmed and fermented using a specially selected aromatic yeast, chosen to accentuate the primary fruit characters and to create texture and complexi-ty.

Pale straw with light green hues. Clean, fragrant, lively pear and rose petal aromas. Round and soft with creamy white floral notes on the palate that is also clean, complex and crisp. Serve with Moroccan chicken breast with almond couscous. For immediate enjoyment, however, the wine will continue to soften with more complexity over the next 2 to 3 years.

For over 30 years John Quarisa has consistently been recognised and rewarded for his winemaking skill. John has received some of Australia’s top wine honours and in 2004 he was awarded the Jimmy Watson Trophy in Melbourne and Stodart Trophy in Brisbane, reaching the pinnacle of Australia’s wine show circuit.

“John Quarisa has had a distinguished career as a winemaker spanning over 20 years, working for some of Australia’s largest wineries, including McWilliam’s, Casella and Nugan Estate. He was also chiefly responsible in 2004 for winning the Jimmy Watson Trophy (Melbourne) and the Stodart Trophy (Adelaide). John and Josephine Quarisa have set up a very successful family business using grapes from various parts of NSW and SA, made in leased space. Production has risen in leaps and bounds, doubtless sustained by the exceptional value for money provided by the wines. Exports include the UK, Canada, Denmark, Sweden, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong and NZ.”
