AWARDS
Velo Wines have won numerous awards and accolades across the range with our most recent successes being at the Tasmanian Wine Show 2019 where we picked up 4 bronze and 2 silver medals. The vineyard yields approximately 15 tonnes per year, allowing for seasonal variations with all 2020 vintage wines made onsite at our Legana Vineyard.

WINEMAKING
At Vélo, handpicked fruit is nurtured from vine to bottle, producing outstanding, handcrafted wines. Our wines are carefully selected from classic French varieties that particularly suit the Tasmanian climate. Hand picking, hand plunging and gentle basket pressing reflect in the character of our wines.

Velo is a combination of their passion for great wine, food and art. The small family operated vineyard is an example of how old and new worlds meld. While retaining traditional methods of harvesting and winemaking, their contemporary image reflects the fun, energy, passion and lifestyle in which they immerse themselves.
