This unwooded Chardonnay is a very fresh wine with good acidity. The vine is located in Southern Highlands NSW which is a very cool climate, the ideal conditions for a smooth easy to drink Chardonnay.

You can drink this wine now but it has potential to wait 5 years. It’s very easy to drink for any occasion and any taste. This wine will be perfect for lunch and early evening and pairs beautifully with creamy chicken dishes as well as seafood and cheeses.

Appearance: This Chardonnay is clear, with a medium intensity. Colour is light with yellow, lemon and greens.
Nose: At the first nose, it has a clean and medium intensity with aromas from the stoned fruits family.
After aeration, nose is more expressive, with a sense of stoned fruits aromas like peach or apricot, fresh lime citrus and flowers aromas like acacia.
Palate: Wine is dry and fresh. It starts on the palate with fresh peach and apricot aromas, in the middle, mouth appears round and delicate. Acidity is very well balanced with the smoothness of the wine.
To finish lime fresh citrus aromas with an appetising bitterness lingers.

2019 gifted us with Verwood Estate’s first vintages in 7 years. We were blessed by a warm, dry year free of frost – perfectly balanced for our cool climate wines produced here in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales.

The Verwood story is unique, and we can’t wait to turn the pages with you.
