All the Tempranillo fruit is from our Russell Road vineyard which lies in the heart of the Frankland River wine growing district. This is a highly regarded, very reliable region and, together with 2018 being one of the best seasons ever, it has produced excellent reds with great colour, flavour and structure.

COLOUR
A very deep garnet red.

AROMA
Has quite perfumed fruits on the nose eg smoky dark plums with a definite lift from the oak; has hints of vanilla and toasty coconut along with some tamarillo fruit characters.

PALATE
This is a well flavoured wine with loads of rich, dark fruit flavours. It is medium to full bodied with the plum & tamarillo fruit flavours nicely integrated from the period of barrel maturation. As is typical of Frankland Tempranillo, it has good structure; the chewy and lightly drying tannins sitting well with the nice acidity, all combining to give the wine its great length of flavour on the palate. With all this flavour and structure you can enjoy this wine now with a well flavoured meal or cellar for a couple more years for further complexity.
