Riverbank Estate Verdelho & Tempranillo Mixed Pack (6 Bottles)

RiverBank Estate was first planted on the fertile banks of the Swan River in 1988 and has grown to encompass nearly thirty acres of mature, low yielding vines, producing exceptional fruit that is lovingly handcrafted into premium, regional, varietal wines, vinified and bottled on-site.

Winemaking
We utilize traditional winemaking practices such as small fermentation tanks, natural fermentation (i.e. no yeast additions) and gravity feeding. Whilst this can be quite labour intensive, we believe it ensures the preservation of natural fruit flavours and the Heathcote terroir character. As with all varieties produced at Sanguine Estate, the grapes were destemmed, lightly crushed and then naturally fermented with wild indigenous yeasts in small open fermenters.

That something special was rich undulating fields in the shadows of Mt Ida, Heathcote, Central Victoria. Tony and Linda Hunter’s vision was to create a family-run boutique vineyard where quality, passion and energy were reflected in the wine.

Embraced by children Mark and Jodi and their respective partners Melissa and Brett, Sanguine Estate expanded from 16 acres to 55 in just five years.

The family’s desire to produce great wine flows through every glass. Through natural winemaking techniques combined with small batch processing and hand plunging, the purity and integrity of the wine is enhanced.

This love for creating fine wine has its roots over 100 years ago. The Great Grandfather of Tony Hunter, Pietro D’orsa, left Italy in 1868 to make a new life in Australia, becoming a vigneron in the town of Maldon 100 km west of Heathcote.

Today, Mark continues this family tradition as Sanguine Estate’s full time vigneron and winemaker in conjunction with Jodi as Chief Executive Officer, Melissa as Chief Financial Officer and Brett as International Sales Manager.  A true family affair!

 

Cargo Road Wines Mixed Pack (3 Bottles)

Cargo Road Vineyard Established 1983 at 860 metres on the sheltered northern slopes of Mount Canobolas near Orange NSW. The vineyard is planted on deep red basalt soils allowing it to be unirrigated. Cargo Road Wines are all estate grown. We have believed in sustainability since 1983 and took this further with the introduction of Holistic Management in 2013 taking a regenerative approach to Viticulture and Agriculture, as we only custodians of the land.
