About Jean Durup Wines

The Durup family, winegrowers from father to son, have been cultivating vines in Chablis for several centuries.

Jean Durup has rebuilt the vineyard of Château de Maligny, of which his great-grandfather, Paul Gally, was the last person in charge in the last century (19th).

The Durup family’s properties have the highest proportion of well-exposed slopes, with stony soil and very steep slopes, major guarantees of the exceptional quality of the wines.

Jean Durup’s Domaine de l’Eglantière is very well known in France.

The various Chablis wines marketed under the prestigious labels “Château de Maligny” and “l’Eglantière” are all produced from the unique grape variety used in Chablis: Chardonnay, the source of excellent wines, rich in bouquet and finesse, with a beautiful green-gold color.
