AUSTRALIA WIDE SHIPPING INCLUDED

Made with Shiraz and Pinot Noir grapes grown on the Indigo Vineyard. The vintage conditions gave us a batch of full and soft Pinot Noir and a batch of light and spicy Shiraz. After 8 months maturation in old French oak barrels, the final blend of 60% Shiraz and 40% Pinot Noir was created before bottling in January 2023.

The palate is wonderfully soft and round. It this very soft and fruity style that reminded us of those “Burgundy” styles made by Maurice O’Shea. The Shiraz adds a little richness to the mid-palate of this very approachable wine.

Reminiscence is a lighter bodied wine with strawberry, raspberry and plum aromas from both the Pinot Noir and Shiraz fruit. A touch of fresh leather and spice adds complexity to the bouquet.

This a versatile wine, but try it with Pappardelle pasta with a pork ragout sauce. Don’t forget to add some Parmesan cheese.

The name is inspired by the wines made by Maurice O’Shea who was one of Australia’s most respected winemakers and is often referred to as the father of Australia’s modern winemaking.

About Indigo Vineyard Wines

The Indigo Vineyard is located near the hamlet of Everton in the foothills of the Victorian Alps. The region enjoys beautiful views, fine dining, wonderful local produce, historic Beechworth streetscapes and is recognised for outstanding Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon.

The hot days and cool nights, granitic sand and clay loam soils and a location in foothills of the Victorian Alps combine to create an amazing terroir for growing super premium grapes.

Located between Beechworth and Wangaratta, the Indigo Vineyard has 46 hectares planted to 11 different varieties of grapes.

The vineyard soils range from granitic sands to clay loams. Most of the vineyard is undulating North-South and East facing. This ensures maximum light interception, but minimises the harsh afternoon summer sun.
