The palate is focused and textured, with white peach, lemon crème, papaya, fresh pineapple and mandarine dominating. Lees derived savoury notes of roast pistachio and cashew with toasted brioche, great acidity and good length round make this a mouth-filling, rich Chardonnay.

PALATE
Richly textured showing fleshy peach and nectarine characters, nutty creaminess on the mid palate and nicely framed with savoury French Oak. Clean, fresh finish.
VINTAGE CONDITIONS
Cool nights and mild days reduced the sugar acclimation and maintained the natural acidity of the fruit. These conditions, combined with the low yields produced wines of supple and elegant flavours, low alcohol and balanced acidity.

Plantagenet is a pioneer of the Great Southern region of Western Australia with vineyards first planted in 1968 and the first commercial winery established in the region in 1975.

Tom Wisdom is a descendent of Lionel Samson, who established the 2nd oldest family business in Australia, Lionel Samson & Son, who owned Plantagenet Wines between 1992 and 2021 before it changed hands to the current ownership.
