Clear, bright pale straw with clear edges

Very complex with lemon pith, finger lime, plum blossom, elderflower and just hint of struck match from time on lees.

Characters of fresh yuzu, longan and dragon fruit, great acid drive with wonderful length and freshness. This wine has amazing texture from time on skins and a lovely creaminess from the time on lees with lees stirring.

About Municipal Wines

Municipal was established by Matt Froude a boutique winemaker, passionate about bringing you unique wines that offer a sense of place, time and variety. Matt was inspired to create Municipal Wines so you can experience elegant, varietal, food friendly wines that are lower in alcohol than your average Australian sledgehammer.

Matt has travelled far and wide to gain inspiration and expertise for his offering which is produced in the cool climate of Victoria’s Strathbogie Ranges.

Matt first started producing wines under the Municipal label in 2014 with his Whitegate Tempranillo and Shiraz. His plan is to bring the wines to the people not expect the people to come to the vines by opening an urban (“Municipal”) winery and cellar door in Melbourne’s Northern Suburbs when finances permit.
