About Altair Estate Wines
Altair Estate is a renowned vineyard in the Margaret River region known for its excellent soil and production of high-quality wines. A 30-hectare property encompassing 12-hectares under vine which includes 10 varietals that are quintessential to the Margaret River region and Italy.
With a focus on elevating the winery to a new level adopting sustainable practices, the estate will be modernized and revamped while retaining its rustic charm and rich heritage.
As a sustainably certified vineyard, Altair Estate will continue to grow the same grape varietals but with a fresh approach to cultivation, tailoring the output of the fruit to suit each wine.
Josh Vince winemaker at Altair Estate says, “The Margaret River region is known as a premium producer of world-class wines. As the estate’s winemaker, I am extremely excited at the opportunity to sustainably produce fruit from the amazing soils and varietals and to translate that story into wines distinctive to Altair Estate.”
Altair Estate’s diverse portfolio of wines feature classic Margaret River and Italian grape varietals that will offer a wide range of full-bodied complex wines suitable for ageing, as well as vibrant wines that exude vitality and energy, which are meant to be enjoyed young.
The vision is that tasting experience of the Altair Estate wines is fun, personal, and educational, offering guests and clients a chance to learn about the range of wines and the winemaking process.
