Produced in the Languedoc-Roussillon, between sea and mountain, from the three local grape varieties Grenache (50%), Syrah (30%) and Mourvedre (20%), Pontificis is deep purple in colour, with aromas of spice, black fruits and herbs and a palate of supple, yet rich spicy fruit. It is a beautiful representation of the best of the South of France.

SOIL
Grenache comes from Tautavel and Puichéric, south of the minervois area. Syrah comes from Minervois and the Hérault plain, same winemaking as grenache. Mourvèdre comes from Gruissan, on schist soils of the Mediterranean coast. Hot and sunny climate. 30 year old vines.

VINIFICATION
Grenache is harvested by hand, long macera- tion and very traditional winemaking. Malo- lactic fermentation in tanks. 6 month aging in barrels. Same winemking for Syrah. 80% of Mourvèdre has long maceration and carbonic maceration for 20%. Long aging in tank.

Badet Clément is the story of two winemakers, passionate about the diversity of wines and vineyard, posessed by a love for the earth and a penchant for well-executed work.

Founded in 1995 by Laurent & Catherine Delauney, two winemakers of Burgundian origin, Badet Clément is Specialized in the production and marketing of brand and family estate wines hailing principally from France’s Burgundy, Rhone Valley, Languedoc and Provence regions.

Pontificis and Les Jamelles are two of the family owned estates and brands under the ownership of Badet Clement.
