Barossa Boy was once just a little tacker, enjoying a free range childhood scrawling bike tracks through the vineyards.

100% of the blend was matured in our 2,500 litre French Oak Foudres for 20 months.

Our Little Tacker GSM is the ultimate Barossa wine blend: fruitful, fun and youthful.

Timely rain and an Indian Summer slowed down the pace of ripening allowing flavours and baume’s to develop. The resulting harvest was a good, healthy yield with high quality fruit. Bunches with small berries of intense flavour and colour, along with excellent tannins and natural acidity.

The ultimate Barossa wine blend, with fruit sourced from family owned vineyards throughout central and southern Barossa.

Cheeky red-purple hues, with ripe raspberry, licorice and floral aromas. A generous and round palate with juicy raspberry coulis, blackberry fruits and caramel. The three grape varieties team up in an exceptionally well-balanced harmony and are highlighted by fine, understated oak tannin.

A blend of vibrant fruit and spicy undertones, a classic Barossa blend.

Barossa Boy

His family’s history in the Barossa Valley goes back to 1855 when his great-great-great grandfather John Burge immigrated to South Australia. He began work as a winemaker, and every generation since has followed. Winemaking is well and truly in the Burge blood.

A sixth generation Barossa winemaker, our founder Trent Burge grew up in and on Barossa soil.

Riding trail bikes around the vineyards, playing local cricket and footy, he had dirt under his nails and Barossa blood in his veins.

The boy has grown to craft new stories in wine. Barossa Boy is his passion project; his heart worn proudly on his sleeve. Tales of generational wisdom and legendary old vines are blended with fresh perspective and a worldly, modern palate. Barossa Boy wines are devoted to the ultimate expression of the Barossa region’s signature varieties and distinctive characters.

Each vintage brings the anticipation of a new chapter, and the opportunity to bottle the season’s tale from bud to harvest.
