The Bérêche wines are firm in structure with ample body and firm mineral driven acidity. The Brut Réserve is equal parts Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier. The wine displays lots of stone fruit, orange citrus and a strong stony minerality. Elegant, powerful and balanced, this is a stunning Champagne.

This wine is produced from 3 different grape varieties, 1/3 of each. The strongest identities of each terroir are only selected to get a very balanced blending.

The cold flexibility of the Pinot Meunier from the Vallee de la Marne combined with the mineral precision from the terroir of Ludes and the Pinots from sandy-limestone terroirs from Ormes give complexity, richness and length to this cuvee.

The 30% of reserve wines (perpetual blending system) ensure the style and the wine’s maturation process while respecting the base year. – Winery Note

About Bérêche & Fils

Bérèche et Fils is a well-regarded grower champagne producer founded in 1847 and currently run by Raphaël and Vincent Bérèche. The family is known for crafting exceptional champagnes with a focus on terroir expression and sustainable viticulture. Their extra brut rosé, known as ‘Campania Remensis’, draws its inspiration from the Roman term for the countryside around Reims.

The fruit hails from the village of Ormes, situated just west of Reims in the Petite Montagne region. The wine boasts vibrant, enduring qualities, and offers a rich array of flavours, including red berries, crushed petals, mineral notes, tobacco, and sweet spices. The 2019 vintage has a dosage of only 3g/L.

Fine Wine Cellars

On the one hand, our role as a merchant of all things wine & spirits could not be simpler. We aim to source the most delicious, the most authentic, and the highest quality products possible from Australia and around the world in order to offer them to our clients. We live or die by how well we perform this task. Of course things are rarely as simple or as easy as they seem. Hunting for wines & spirits is no different. Apart from the months spent travelling, countless days and evenings spent tasting and the outrageous wine expenditure in the name of ‘research’, sourcing quality wine and spirits requires expertise and experience. Understanding the potential of a producer and their products is much more than just a slurp and a spit.
