WA clone shiraz, hand picked and crushed to open fermenter with 20% whole bunch. Hand plunged twice daily during primary fermentation before being basket pressed to neutral French oak after 14 days on skins. Aged for 12 months in barrique before being assembled for bottling.
Bright red and blue fruits, backed by savoury aromas synonymous with Frankland River Shiraz. Thanks to some whole bunch and neutral oak, the tannins are soft and pretty, keeping the palate light and juicy.

Black Cocky Wines focuses on showcasing alternate varieties and styles from the South West of WA.
In the winery we draw inspiration from our namesake, the Black Cockatoo by creating wines that are fun, vibrant and bold. Fruit is sourced from some of the most premium vineyards in the South West, with preference for growers who farm sustainably. In the winery the fruit is handled gently, typically using wild or indigenous yeasts with no fining or filtration.
