This viognier is extraordinary for its price and its quality. Very fruity, white peach notes with just the right amount of acidity.
A real pleasure as an aperitif or with shellfish and fish

A 100% Viognier with a fresh profile, round and delicious for pure pleasure!! It is difficult to resist this little treasure by Cave de Tain.

Part of the famous Première Note range by Cave de Tain, this time with a Viognier in a tasty, round and fresh style. All the aromatic exuberance of the grape variety is reflected on the nose and palate in this white wine aged in tanks and originating from young vines. In the glass it has very pure and alluring scents of apricot and jasmine, which crunch enthusiastically into a structured, precise and impeccably fresh palate.

About Cave de Tain Wines

Uniqueness, in the Crozes-Hermitage, Cornas, Saint-Péray, and in particular in the Hermitage appellation estates (where the former property of Louis Gambert de Loche, the founder of the winery, has 22 hectares on the famous hillside!), the Cave de Tain fully plays its lead role and provides all its strength: the cultural practices it adopts with its own team of winegrowers serve as a showcase or sometimes even a “laboratory” for all winemakers.

On its property in Hermitage, a unique, magical place nestled in the vineyards, the winery dreamt up the most perfect display case for its wines: that was the vocation of Fief de Gambert, the former house of the Gambert family that was renovated in 2009.

With boundless patience and precision, on homogeneous units of terroir for each appellation, often originating from old vines, our winegrowers and agronomists select the plots that were the most successful in the vintage. They are later passed on to enologists winemakers to create a new selection of a given terroir.

With the same plots frequently being used to make a cuvée – somewhat like the same musical notes being played over and over in the chorus of a song – we must remember that it is all about the magic of the vintage! In this way, some plots may not be selected, or others might be chosen unexpectedly in a given vintage.
