legacy since 1734, Champagne Taittinger is the largest eponymous family owned Champagne House and one of the top, independent champagne brands in the world. This family of growers cultivates the second largest vineyard in the Champagne region. The composition of the house’s cuvées is a result of an intuitive and complex process, one which the Taittinger family know how to create and sustain; a Champagne which is completely unique.

Taittinger Prestige Rosé can be enjoyed both early on and at the end of an evening. Deliciously fragranced for an aperitif, it is also a subtle accompaniment to fruit desserts, including fruit tart, fruit salad and red fruit crumble.

Famous house Taittinger is known as a chardonnay-dominant Champagne producer, but to me, this delicious wine makes more of a pinot noir statement. It starts with the colour, a rather deeper salmon-pink than the very pale hue that’s currently fashionable. It smells of strawberry shortcake, crême pat and finely-integrated yeasty and smoky complexities, a great mix of pinot freshness and Champagne maturity. With fine texture, good depth and substance, this is flavoursome yet elegant, finishing with just enough phenolic firmness for balance. A Champagne for food.

For the past 10 years in her role as Artistic and Marketing Director, Vitalie Taittinger has embodied the unique style of the Taittinger Champagne House.

Much like her father, she shares an interest in artistic creation and in the values of openness and inquisitiveness. This is combined with a desire to enjoy the present without worrying about tomorrow. To achieve this, the hard-working lover of fine cuisine, who purposefully pursues those everyday moments of joy, has a secret. “As soon as you decide to live your life each day to the full, every day will quickly become more special and meaningful”.
