Medium ruby-red in color with slight purple touches at the rim. The aromas are fresh with a clean, plumy red-fruit character, a similar clean, red-fruit nature is seen on the palate. The wine has a smooth textured mid-palate with a light structure, whose fine tannins give a little grip right at the end. Acidity is fresh, alcohol is well in balance and the finish has a fair length.

About Château Potensa Wines

Château Potensac has a long family history. Indeed, this estate belongs to the Delon family since a very long time and has always been passed down from generation to generation by the women of the family. Today, the estate is run by Jean-Hubert Delon, who keeps it from his paternal grandmother, Georgette Liquard.
Château Potensac is generally recognized as one of the major growths of the Médoc appellation. Moreover, it is the only one, at the classification of Crus Bourgeois of 2003 of the Médoc appellation, to have been classified Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel. La Chapelle de Potensac was created and released by Jean-Hubert Delon in 2002. This elegant second wine made with respect for tradition has a very good balance based on roundness and freshness.

Terroir & Vinification
The vineyardof Chapelle de Potensac is composed as follows: 56% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. The yield is about 44 hectoliter per hectare on a clay-limestone soil typical of this appellation. After a vinification plot, the breeding lasts a dozen months and takes place in oak barrels. The result is a very well balanced Medoc, roundness and freshness. Like all second wines, he will soon be ready to drink, to let his eldest wait.
