About Charles Reuben Estate
Founded in 1989, Charles Reuben Estate has a rich legacy in viticulture, rejuvenated in 2013 when the Volkmann family took ownership. Their vision for the estate led to immediate upgrades, including the transformation of a secondary on-site dwelling into a luxurious, serene accommodation for visitors, which opened in 2014.
The family undertook intensive pruning of the vineyard to restore vitality, resulting in an exceptional quality of fruit. This commitment is reflected in sold-out vintages like the 2015, 2016, and 2017 Pinot Noir, alongside the 2018 Rosé and several white wines—all celebrated for their outstanding quality.
In 2019, Charles Reuben Estate expanded with an on-site distillery, introducing a line of premium brandies and eaux de vie crafted from select single casks and estate-grown fruit. The estate’s first aged brandy is set to release in late 2021, promising an elevated experience for enthusiasts. Meanwhile, visitors can enjoy the estate’s young “Tisco” (an unaged grape brandy), as well as their Gin, Blood Orange, Apricot, and Cherry spirits—each offering a preview of the exceptional quality yet to come.
