Description
Established in 1995, Cumulus Vineyards is located in Boomey approximately 40 kilometres north-west of Orange. Sprawled over rolling hills in the Orange GI wine region, our 508-hectare property is one of the largest single-estate vineyards in Australia.
Inspired by the rolling hills of the Central Ranges, New South Wales, “Rolling” wines are sourced from the sub-600m elevations of our single estate grown vineyard where cool temperatures coupled with bright sunlight produce fruit of incredible colour and vibrant flavours. Our Rolling wines are easy drinking as a stand-alone aperitif or a great companion with food. The label iconography sees our heroine Beatrice and her faithful dog Cirro exploring the rolling hills of the single estate vineyard throughout the distinct cool climate seasons.
About Orange
Set on ancient soil 600 metres above sea-level, our hometown of Orange is the largest and highest cool-climate winemaking region in Australia. The cooler mornings at our high-altitude estate create ideal growing conditions resulting in intense, fruit forward wines.
In addition to having an excellent winemaking climate, Orange is a beautiful town with wonderful architecture and a rich history. Although it sometimes appears to be a quiet country town, Orange comes to life in April when it hosts Orange F.O.O.D Week and in October for the Orange Wine Festival. These events attract people from all over Australia who visit Orange to sample some of the best local wines and produce that the region has to offer.
