About De Chanceny

De Chanceny is emblematic of our know-how in producing fine, sparkling Loire wines according to the Méthode Traditionnelle, developed since 1953.

CRÉMANT DE LOIRE
The vineyard of Cremant de Loire spreads out over a vast area of 250km in the Loire Valley that encompasses several regions : Anjou, Saumur and Touraine. From east to west, the vines grow on two main “terroirs”.

– Anjou-Saumur : chalky, clay limestone soil at the origin of the tuffa stone extracted from careers to build the famous Loire castles and our wine cellar.

– West of the AOP, dark schist and sandstone soil developed from the Armorican Massif. Both are excellent for naturally regulating water supply and allow useful water storage.

VOUVRAY
The Vouvray vineyards stretches out over twenty kilometres, upstream from Tours, on the right bank of the Loire River. The vines of Chenin blanc are located on a rocky hillsides on a substrate of tuffeau , cut through with valleys and covered with flinty ‘perruche’ soils and ‘aubuis’ (limestone clay).
