For millennia Provence, and more particularly the Rhone Valley, has been a land of passage, exchange and mixtures.
Perched on its rock, the village of Gordes is the witness of the evolution of the world and at the same time the guardian of the authentic traditions and values of Provence.
At the Domaine de l’Enclos we aim to make you discover and enjoy our region while protecting and respecting it, so that you can return year after year without fear that it is distorted like so many tourist destinations around the world.
The Domaine de l’Enclos was taken over at the beginning of 2019 by Jean-Luc Ayme.
Originally from Vaucluse, Jean-Luc studied in Paris, traveled the world, visited 52 countries, worked on 3 continents for multinationals and then led a large distribution group in the automotive sector.
At the dawn of his fifties, he decided to start a new adventure closer to his family roots. Because as far back as he can go, his ancestors have written the history of this beautiful region: bakers in Aubignan, cutters of rabbit skins in L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, ocher manufacturers in Gargas, inventor of the rubber-coated horseshoe in Carpentras …
