This wine is made in very small quantities, using the best grapes, from the oldest vines (between 75 and 100 years old). 85.45 is a very special wine, one to be enjoyed and savoured. It is made using 100% Gamay grapes and given 21 months in oak barrels. The colour is deepest garnet with hints of ruby.

The nose is bursting with black fruits with touches of coffee and liquorice. The palate is fleshy and compex with well integrated tannins. The finish is long and satisfying.

JB does all the vineyard work; he finds this to be the best way of ensuring the quality and sustainability of the grapes. Using an agroforestry system, he replicates what can be observed in the wild forest. This helps the vines to grow strong without spraying chemicals on the ground and without ploughing the earth

2004
During his study, he began to work with Yves Cuilleron (Cote-Rotie) and Gianni Spizzo (Bellet)

2011
At only 22, Jean-Baptiste joined Boisset as winemaker consultant and bulk buyer for all the Beaujolais region.

2014
After 3 vintages, he decided to see the world making wine. USA and Australia were not a random choice, but to get more “savoir-faire”!

2016
As the main goal always been to come back in Beaujolais, JeanBaptiste went back to Boisset as a export manager.

2017
Jean Baptiste finally accomplished his childhood dream and bought Domaine de Montjoly and where his parents worked all their life.
