Dormilona Clayface Chenin Blanc 2022 (6 Bottles) Margaret River

$350.00 GST Included

AUSTRALIA WIDE SHIPPING INCLUDED

A bright Chenin Blanc made in exclusively in terracotta amphora. As always, a limited release.

There’s some very good Chenin Blanc fruit growing in Margaret River and a few producers now looking to up the ante and make a more premium, ‘fine wine’ version of this great grape.

Here, Jo Perry takes Chenin Blanc into brave new territory. This is biodynamic fruit fermented in large terracotta pots, left to naturally go through malo, pressed and then sent back to the pot to chill before being racked straight to bottle.

No fining, no filtration, just the watchful eye of Jo Perry bringing it to bottle. It’s funky and cloudy, Chenin’s texture dialled up to 11.

Wicked wine here. A different side of Chenin Blanc and a fun one at that. Only a limited amount made.

About Dormilona

Josephine Perry is one of the most exciting emerging producers in Margaret River. Her Dormilona label is setting a new tone for the region.

A self-confessed ‘lazy-bones’ winemaker, Jo is low-intervention in the winery, instead focusing her energies on the quality of fruit that she brings in the winery.

She uses only organically and biodynamically farmed fruit from high-quality vineyards across Margaret River and is bringing an alt-styling to the way she produces the hero varieties of this famous region.

These are Margaret River wines with flair and originality. From vineyard to glass, Jo handcrafts each wine with love and tender hands. An authentic producer who’s rightfully gaining plenty of attention.

Fine Wine Cellars

On the one hand, our role as a merchant of all things wine & spirits could not be simpler. We aim to source the most delicious, the most authentic, and the highest quality products possible from Australia and around the world in order to offer them to our clients. We live or die by how well we perform this task. Of course things are rarely as simple or as easy as they seem. Hunting for wines & spirits is no different. Apart from the months spent travelling, countless days and evenings spent tasting and the outrageous wine expenditure in the name of ‘research’, sourcing quality wine and spirits requires expertise and experience. Understanding the potential of a producer and their products is much more than just a slurp and a spit.
