The Edouard Delaunay estate’s rich history dates back to 1893. Its wines were the choice of The Orient Express and the finest restaurants in France. A century later, it fell out of family hands. That’s until 2017, when Laurent Delaunay bought back his great-grandfather’s estate and re-established his deep-rooted family connections with the best local grape-growers.

With the help of award-winning winemaker Christophe Briotet, he’s making a huge success story of what is now Burgundy’s fastest up-and-coming producer. This Pinot Noir is made mainly from grapes from Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits. It’s complex and fresh, with flavours of raspberry, blackcurrant and cherry. Try it with duck.

About Laurent Delaunay

Laurent Delaunay represents the fifth generation of a family of winemakers and negociants and is reappropriating his family’s history. Though it had progressively been sinking into oblivion over the last several years, the House of Edouard Delaunay, an old structure with a rich and unique history, has always been closely connected to Burgundy wine trade.

Bought back into public’s eye in 2017, the Maison strives to regain its place within the inner circle of the great houses of Burgundy through the meticulous and precise vinification and ageing of exceptional wines from some of Burgundy’s finest terroirs.
