We have gone through our museum stock and have a few dozen available of the 2018 Estate Grown Riesling and it is looking absolutely delicious! Light minerality on the palate with beautiful lemon and lime characters coming through. This wine will lay down for a little while yet, but is drinking beautifully now.

Suggested dishes are pear, blue cheese & pomengranate salad, ALWAYS King George Whiting, Freshly shucked oysters and Asian style grilled salmon.

Pure Eden Valley showing wonderful minerality, lime and a lovely freshness. This is drinking so beautifully now and is hitting the shelves just in time for some beautiful Spring weather. Think seafood, sunshine and friends – what more could you want.

Most will be drunk soon (and there isn’t a problem with that) BUT, if you have the patience, this wine will reward you ten fold if you can hang on to a bottle or two.

About Flaxman Wines

Our story is one of making the bold move of buying a vineyard (Col did this without telling his wife, Fiona), moving interstate, changing career paths, and building a space to share our passion for this beautiful region and the world-class wine & food it produces.

The property consists of Riesling, Shiraz & Semillon, all planted around 1929. We also purchase fruit from like-minded growers nearby to add to the line-up of wines available. Colin now makes the wine onsite except the Riesling.

Over time, Colin’s first career as a builder has come in very handy at Flaxman. He has built a cellar door, outdoor kitchen, pergola, and pizza oven. Once a month, Col puts his cooking hat on and produces a five-course degustation of beautiful food, which showcases some of the Barossa and South Australia’s amazing produce. It’s a beautiful day of kicking back and being spoilt with lovely food and wine and all enjoyed while sitting at the long table overlooking the vineyard. A 3-course Mid-week lunch option has been added to the mix for a minimum of 4 to 6 people max, on Tuesday to Friday – Bookings are essential, and 48 hours notice is required.
