A fuller structured palate this year where elegance is still the dominant theme with some jubyness yet also feels dry and dusty. Ripe mulberry and blueberries are the predominant flavour with baking spice fine-grained graphite tannins and a long pencilly finish.

A bold expression that will need time to flourish. 86 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Petit Verdot, 5 % Cabernet Franc, 3% Malbec.

Description

Established in 1999, Fraser Gallop Estate comprises 50 acres under vine on an elevated aspect six kilometres from the south west coast of Western Australia at the heart of the Wilyabrup sub-region of Margaret River.

The region’s pristine isolation beside the Indian Ocean; the maritime climate; and our vineyard’s undulating topography provide the ideal conditions in which to grow Bordeaux and Burgundy grape varieties.

The wines of Fraser Gallop Estate are intensely flavoured, textured and complex. Our focus is on Cabernet, Chardonnay and Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc blends. Only the finest quality French oak barrels are used for all Fraser Gallop Estate wines, with very specific Bordelais coopers used for the Cabernet Sauvignon and Semillon Sauvignon Blanc blends, and Burgundian coopers for the Chardonnay. The complete winemaking process takes place at the estate – picking to vinification to barrel maturation to bottling to cellaring. Fraser Gallop Estate is an estate grown, produced and bottled wine.
