After 15 years from the DOC, starting from the 2011 vintage to demonstrate how special it is for us, we have decided to “call it by name”. This unique wine is produced almost exclusively in the municipality of Verduno, from the rare native Pelaverga Piccolo vine.

That it is particular can be guessed from the color; but what is most fascinating is the unmistakable spicy scent, of pepper in particular, that’s why Speziale.

Gian Battista, his wife Flavia, his brother Alessandro and his son Vittore are the proud witnesses of the centuries-old winemaking tradition and passion of the family and represent the 7th and 8th generation of wine producers (the first 3 generations as Fratelli Dabbene and then Fratelli Alessandria following a marriage around 1870).

The winery makes wine exclusively from its own grapes, and has maintained a family dimension. These requirements make it possible to establish a direct and “personal” relationship with the individual vineyards and individual barrels, an invisible but important thread that it is hoped will reach and “excite” the consumer through the bottle.
