This wine displays a dark, almost black red colour. The nose shows rich and complex aromas of brambleberry and earthy forest floor with hints of cinnamon, chocolate and oak. These aromas lead to a rich full flavoured palate of cassis and blackcurrant fruit. After 12 months ageing in American & French oak barrels, the finish has plenty of fruit weight and well rounded tannins.

Excellent with rosemary and thyme roasted lamb with wilted spinach.

Gapsted Wines is an Australian family-owned winery, located near Myrtleford in Victoria’s High Country, established in 1996.

The winery is the outcome of six wine families seeing the potential of producing high quality cool climate wines from the Alpine and King Valleys.
