AUSTRALIA WIDE SHIPPING INCLUDED

Clear and in perfect condition, with pale but bright lemon yellow colour and hints of green. Medium viscosity. On the nose, ample aromas redolent of green apple and fresh notes of lime, followed by crispy scents of acacia flower and lemongrass, accented with white pepper and clove spiciness.

“If I should fall from grace with god – Where no doctor can relieve me – If I’m buried ‘neath the sod – But the angels won’t receive me” Pear and lime, slight fresh mint and white flower perfume. It’s glossy and flinty at once, a subtle bitterness in with lime and apple, a nice crunch on the finish, and the merest suggestion of sweetness, like honeydew melon or similar. The most accessible in style of the 2018 Koshu, But so good to drink” Gary Walsh 93 POINTS

About Grace Wines

The Toriibira district of Katsunuma town is greatly treasured by our fourth-generation owner, Shigekazu Misawa. This is hilly area with well-drained gravelly soil well-exposed to the sun and has long been revered as a production area producing the most concentrated grapes in Katsunuma.

Grapes harvested in the Toriibira district are fermented and matured in stainless steel tanks. The ripe tropical fruit aroma and full-bodied flavour are characteristics of the region.

We select vineyards based on the amount of sunlight, diurnal temperature differences, drainage, wind flow, and other factors, and our grape growing has been devised in constant dialogue with natural conditions. Harvesting is done by hand with careful and thorough grape selection. The winery strives to bring out the full potential of the grapes nurtured in the vineyards. By weaving together years of effort, the family business has been carrying on for almost a century.

Japanese winemaking is intimately linked to local agriculture, and Japanese handicrafts are honest, thorough and solid. In 2014, Grace’s white wine Koshu opened the doors to the world, and we will continue to bring pleasure and soothe to people by promoting winemaking that expresses the best of Japan.

If you are visiting Tokyo, please visit our winery and cellar door.

We have a team of sommeliers and experienced staff in viticulture and winemaking who will welcome you with all our heart. We do not offer tours of the vineyards (Katsunuma and Akeno) or the winery, as we are committed to our core business of grape growing and winemaking. Group visits by bus are not accepted. We ask for your kind understanding.
