About Grove Estate
Located in the beautiful Hilltops Region just four kilometres out of Young, Grove Estate has quietly built an international following for their award winning wines, which include both traditional reds and whites and some interesting Italian varietals.
The Grove Estate Vineyards comprises 100 hectares of vines over two properties either side of Young. The Vineyards are substantially planted to Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as a number of alternative varieties.
Zinfandel, also known as Primitivo was planted as far back as 1996 and the Nebbiolo is an absolute stand out variety for the area.
Tim Kirk of Clonakilla and Bryan Martin of Ravensworth have been making our Shiraz Viognier, Nebbiolo and Italian varieties for the past 15 years. We are very proud of this partnership and hold it in high esteem. Tim was awarded “Winemaker of The Year” in 2013 and Bryan was a finalist in 2016.

Young is in the heart of the Hilltops. The Hilltops has become one the greatest wine grape growing regions in Australia over the past 20 years. In the last 5 years wines from the Hilltops including grapes from the Grove Estate vineyards have won such prestigious awards as the “Jimmy Watson” trophy in 2010, and as recently as 2014 the Finest Shiraz in Australia in the great Australian Shiraz Tasting.
