About Henty View Wines
The Geographe Bay area is well known for its high quality fruit and wine. Our vines are planted on quite steep, well-drained slopes with very complex soil types including rich heavy loam, clay, gravel and some areas of rich fertile sandy soils.
The elevated position and cooling coastal sea breezes provide good air circulation during summer, giving optimum conditions for extended fruit ripening and flavour development and reduced chances of fungal disease. Clean, fresh water is supplied by a spring fed dam.
The Cabernet Sauvignon was planted in 2000, and as the vines age, is coming into it’s own. The quality of fruit being produced is second to none.
The Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon was planted in 2006 and is already producing good quality fruit.
Henty View Wines are made on site in our winery from fruit grown on the property and within the Ferguson Valley region. All our fruit is hand picked, this allows only the best fruit to be selected and less damage to the grapes prior to processing.
The wine is then made and bottled on site. This small scale, hands on approach has enabled us to produce high quality, award winning wines.
We produce bright, fruity, varietal white wines. Our premium red wines are rich full-bodied wines made using the open fermentation process and aged in French and American Oak barrels for 18 to 24 months prior to bottling.
