Coonawarra’s signature variety. Fragrant dark cherries with notes of vanilla give way to a generous palate with savoury blackcurrant and chocolate flavours. The local terroir shines through with notes of peppermint and a lengthy finish.
The winter of 2021 was extremely wet following several years of drought. The growing season started off cool, but mild temperatures later in the year ensured the fruit eventually ripened, albeit slightly later than usual. Cabernet Sauvignon yields were smaller than usual, but the fruit harvested was fragrant and medium bodied.
