This three-acre, east-facing, fifteen-year-old site in Blewitt Springs is in its seventh year of organic management and is co-run by gun viticulturist Fiona Wood. The soils are deep white sand over clay with schist.

The fruit is destemmed and sits on skins for a day before being pressed to old 500-litre barrels to complete fermentation. At the behest of his artist son, James has returned to the original label design for this wine.

About Jauma Wines

The Audrey’s Fairygarten is a bright and juicy iteration of Shiraz with the signature Jauma charisma.

It’s certainly a unique wine, and probably not what you might expect from a McLaren Vale Shiraz. It goes through carbonic maceration, with the berries fermenting in their little grape bodies to bring a bright, vibrant and lively expression of this variety.

Pops of dark cherries, earthy hints and grainy tannin show themselves off, with a crunch of acidity thanks to the early-picked fruit. Chuck it in the fridge or esky if you’re feeling frisky.

Fine Wine Cellars

On the one hand, our role as a merchant of all things wine & spirits could not be simpler. We aim to source the most delicious, the most authentic, and the highest quality products possible from Australia and around the world in order to offer them to our clients. We live or die by how well we perform this task. Of course things are rarely as simple or as easy as they seem. Hunting for wines & spirits is no different. Apart from the months spent travelling, countless days and evenings spent tasting and the outrageous wine expenditure in the name of ‘research’, sourcing quality wine and spirits requires expertise and experience. Understanding the potential of a producer and their products is much more than just a slurp and a spit.
