Colour is bright green straw with subtle flecks of fresh opalescent yellow, almost unchanged from when it was put to glass.

Aromas are vibrant too: lemon and lime are the central focus, with enticing hints of fresh-cut yellow apple.

Flavours are just as compelling: ripe lime and juicy Meyer-lemon mix equally, with delicious light-satin finesse and vivid citrus detail.

Yellow apple-like characters chime in across the mid-palate, with riper honeyed-fruit roundness and crunchy freshness.

The structure is terrifically tense and energetic, with a fine brightness of acidity unifying and elevating all flavours into a crisp, tangy, slightly pithy finish.

At 7 years of age this Museum Semillon displays superb primary fruits, a natural brightness, inherent strength and elemental purity, a classic example of Hunter Semillon timelessness.

It’s delicious drinking now, but what you see now will only get better. Another 3 or 4 years in the cellar would be perfect.

About Keith Tulloch Wine

This small, completely family owned winery and vineyard produces wines that express our unique terroir and climate, from the ancient soils of the Brokenback Range. Our family and team work to attain the full potential of these vineyards.

Keith Tulloch is a fourth generation Hunter Valley Winemaker, so the soils of Pokolbin and the wines of the Hunter Valley run deep in his blood. Keith is a qualified Winemaker, a Wine Judge, and Wine Consultant.

In 1997 Keith began his own company, and produces wines under his own label focussing only on the traditional Hunter Valley varieties – Semillon, Chardonnay, Shiraz, and more recently other Rhone varietals, sourcing grapes from only the best vineyard sites.

These wines are hand-made with meticulous care, and epitomise the best qualities of Hunter Valley wine. All wines released have the style, balance, structure and integrity necessary for graceful maturation and cellaring. Winery production is very limited, with a combined output of only 12000 dozen per year.

For Keith the greatest reward has been found – making his own wines with a unique stamp of personality, power and integrity – away from the mainstream, and with a individual style and flair.

Awarded a 5-star rating by James Halliday for being “an outstanding winery capable of producing wines of the highest calibre.
