Gamay in the Yarra continues to excite. Leaning in to traditional French style with full carbonic maceration in concrete, structure and spice are at the fore. Matured in large old oak for depth and intrigue.

Gamay is fast becoming one of the most exciting varieties in the Yarra Valley. Every year, we feel like we learn a little more about how this quirky grape behaves in our little pocket of the world. In 2022 we experimented with carbonic maceration techniques oen used in traditional production of Gamay, and we wound up with a wine that oozes personality.

Deep and brooding with a real suave vibe. Spice leads the charge with cardamom, clove with a hint of celery seed while dark cherry and rich plum fruits dance all night in the background. Bold and powerful with an intense fruit core and sexy seamless tannins that ride the boogie right across the palate. You can almost taste the sequined jumpsuit!
