Grape: 100% Chardonnay.

Lively, lemony, expressive attack on the palate. The whole is harmonious. revealing a nice minerality on the finish.

The relief along the Serein river, the Kimmeridgian soil and the unique grape variety used, Chardonnay, lead to this unique wine, yet copied and whose name has been used wrongly all over the planet. The soil composed of kimmeridgian-type limestone, rich in marine fossils and in particular small comma-shaped oysters (Exogyra Virgulae) brings aromas of both citrus and iodine, a marked minerality and, above all, a freshness unique to the wines of the region.

The altitude of the Petit Chablis plots brings freshness and minerality to these wines.

The vinification is done entirely in stainless steel vats and, after aging for almost 1 year, the wine is bottled not too early to allow the purest expression of the fruit and the Chablis terroir.

About Maison Stéphane Brocard

Son of a Chablisian winegrower, Stéphane Brocard moved to Marsannay in 2007 by founding his Trading House. In addition to the vines he owns in Pommard and in the old wine-growing village of Daix, he works with the same winegrowers and the same plots from year to year to offer wines that correspond to his philosophy: wines based on purity, fruit and freshness. Authentic wines, with the greatest respect for the terroirs and the environment.

Between the Closerie des Alisiers, and the wines of our partner estates, Maison Stéphane Brocard covers all the appellations of Burgundy: regional appellations, Villages, Premiers Crus and Grands Crus, from Chablisien to Mâconnais via all the main appellations. from Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, all the diversity of Burgundy is represented, with an increasingly large range of certified organic wines.

About Closerie des Alisiers

In Burgundy, the concept of clos is very old, the first clos appearing in the 7th century. Initially of religious influence, these stone walls multiplied in the 19th century: they made it possible to retain the soil but also gave a real personality to each Burgundy estate. A Closerie is a small clos, a small property surrounded by walls or hedges.

The Closerie des Alisiers wines represent a range of Burgundy wines, produced almost exclusively from Pinot Noir grape for red wines and Chardonnay grape for white wines (a few aligotés also complete the range). These wines present the complexity and authenticity of Burgundy wines.

For several years now, we have been committed to restoring balance and vitality to the vines and soils by promoting these organic crops. This perfectly complements our efforts and our desire to always highlight the terroirs.

L’Atelier Wines

L’Atelier by Aramis Vineyards was founded in 2012, dedicated to supplying a hand-selected range of quality wines to the independent on and off trade. From small beginnings we now operate across NSW, QLD, VIC and WA as well as in our home state of South Australia. Our distribution company was founded on our absolute belief that there was nobody better to represent our McLaren Vale brand than our own team. From that point our mission was clear - to bring together a collection of wine that would complement and match the quality of our own, and to present these to premium retail and hospitality trade across Australia. We believe in working collaboratively with carefully selected producers from Australia and beyond, each sharing the same passion and commitment to quality. Inspired by the Ateliers of 19th century Paris, we see ourselves as a meeting place for highly talented craftspeople at the top of their trade. Our portfolio consists of premium boutique wines from across Australia, New Zealand, Italy and Spain, all carefully selected to represent the very essence of their region, but most importantly at approachable price-points. We do not aim to build a trophy cabinet, we believe that you do not have to spend a fortune to drink like a king, and our selection reflects our ability to seek out wines that consistently over-deliver and represent the very best value.
