About Maison Stéphane Brocard
Son of a Chablisian winegrower, Stéphane Brocard moved to Marsannay in 2007 by founding his Trading House. In addition to the vines he owns in Pommard and in the old wine-growing village of Daix, he works with the same winegrowers and the same plots from year to year to offer wines that correspond to his philosophy: wines based on purity, fruit and freshness. Authentic wines, with the greatest respect for the terroirs and the environment.
Between the Closerie des Alisiers, and the wines of our partner estates, Maison Stéphane Brocard covers all the appellations of Burgundy: regional appellations, Villages, Premiers Crus and Grands Crus, from Chablisien to Mâconnais via all the main appellations. from Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, all the diversity of Burgundy is represented, with an increasingly large range of certified organic wines.
About Closerie des Alisiers
In Burgundy, the concept of clos is very old, the first clos appearing in the 7th century. Initially of religious influence, these stone walls multiplied in the 19th century: they made it possible to retain the soil but also gave a real personality to each Burgundy estate. A Closerie is a small clos, a small property surrounded by walls or hedges.
The Closerie des Alisiers wines represent a range of Burgundy wines, produced almost exclusively from Pinot Noir grape for red wines and Chardonnay grape for white wines (a few aligotés also complete the range). These wines present the complexity and authenticity of Burgundy wines.
For several years now, we have been committed to restoring balance and vitality to the vines and soils by promoting these organic crops. This perfectly complements our efforts and our desire to always highlight the terroirs.
