About Maxime Crotet Wines
Maxime Crotet is a pure Burgundian who was immersed in the world of wine and gastronomy during his childhood. From an early age, he was interested in this world and more particularly in the different methods of vinification. He began his training with Frédéric Cossard, winegrower in Saint-Romain for almost 10 years. There he learned the management of the vines in organic farming, as well as the methods of natural vinification, with breeding without sulphur.
Convinced of this viticulture and vinification method that respects the environment, the product and the terroir, he decided to start his own business and vinify his own wines in Beaune. To start, he brought organic grapes from the Rhône Valley and the Jura back to his winery. The harvests of red Burgundy being unfortunately very low in 2021, he could only produce a few Pinot Noir from the Côtes de Nuits.
Building on his success in his first year, he intends to expand his trade next year, especially by offering more Burgundy. He also invested in a distillery to produce natural liqueurs and eau de vie! We will have the chance to taste these little treats in the middle of 2023
