Vineyard

The King Valley is one of Australia’s most exciting and emerging wine regions. Home to the most picturesque and unspoilt valley in Australia, King Valley benefits from a cool climate with extremely varied terrain, that ranges from snow-capped Alps to sun baked fields.

At an altitude of 350 metres above sea level, the cool and pristine Alpine air of the King Valley source vineyard endows long summer days and cool crisp nights which support the harmonious flavour development in Pinot Grigio.

Mitchelton

Mitchelton Wines, founded in 1969 by Ross Shelmerdine, is a renowned Australian winery with a rich history dating back to 1836 when explorer Major Thomas Mitchell crossed the area. The winery features iconic architecture, including a 55-meter tower designed by architects Robin Boyd and Ted Ashton, and recently expanded with a boutique hotel and day spa.

Specializing in Shiraz, Riesling, and Rhône blends, Mitchelton wines embody the estate’s unique terroir. Sustainability is central to its philosophy, with innovative water management, minimal pesticide use, and eco-friendly packaging. The estate’s vineyards, spanning the Mitchelton Estate and Heathcote, thrive on diverse soils, producing wines of complexity and character. Mitchelton continues its legacy of excellence, drawing visitors with its luxurious accommodations, wine experiences, and commitment to the environment.
