This wine is a strange colour – not quite deep salmon and not quite pale garnet, it reminds us of peach and coral, almost the colour of an Aperol Spritz and it sparkles with brilliant clarity. On the nose it has pink damask rose perfume, hints of white pepper, sour red cherry, plums and rhubarb.

There is also a savoury tomatoey umami character that follows through on the palate which is altogether more savoury than the nose. Fleshy salty red plum and tomato flavours vie with tangy acidity and firm, fine grained tannins. The perfect summer wine to pair with mortadella, finely sliced salami, and a margarita pizza.
